SQL Service is an advanced MS WindowsÔ application designed especially for importers
representing manufactures abroad. The software includes the main modules used by
importers, whose principal activity is providing a "direct ordering" service, by
ordering equipment from the manufacturer abroad to the local customer.
|
SQL Service enables you to create quotations based on the manufacturer's stock of products abroad and the local stock; to create purchase orders sent to the supplier abroad based upon the quotation sent to the local customer; to update items and price lists; to follow up the products' supplying and the service given; to promote sales with the customer's contacts, while taking into consideration their unique status; monitoring suppliers abroad which the contacts are interested in and so forth.
We give our customers the opportunity to define their own special needs, in order to adjust the programs we produce to those needs, and SQL Service can be adapted as well. SQL Service was especially programmed to accommodate large loads and large data volumes (as required in big corporations), and this is achieved by a connection option to world leading "data engines" as Microsoft SQL ServerÔ.
Main Modules In The System:
Quotations - This module enables you to produce quotations rapidly, in a quality printing format. A "search engine" helps you easily locate every item, even in lists tens of thousands items long; to base new quotations on previous quotations and to easily edit quotations with "last minute" modifications. You may also add optional items. At the closing of the quotation we'll include "total price without optional items", apart from the general total. The quotations sent are based on the supplier's currency abroad or converted to local currency, according to any elected conversion rate.
The quotations are addressed directly to the chosen contact out of the client's list of contacts, and so you'll be able to follow up the transaction in the best possible way.
Orders - This module enables you to send orders to suppliers in a similar manner to the creation of quotations. The program automatically makes any needed adjustments in language, as required for correspondence (detailed information about the customer in English and so forth). You may send orders that will be delivered directly to the customer or as supply to your warehouse. Any headings intended to help the customer understand the quotations (that have no catalogue number or are meaningless to the supplier) will be automatically removed when asking for an order based upon a quotation. The order will include the name of the department to receive the merchandise at the customer's end.
Service files - You may open a service file for every product, part, customer or any "entity" you choose, and that is accomplished by ascribing a unique identification number (imprinted number) to the file. If you imprint a unique number (engraved or serial) on the products you import, you may easily serve the customer or follow the handling of the product only by stating its imprinted number.
After saving a new service file, you may reach the item (or entity) by stating the imprinted number only, and the system will automatically download the file, with full details (of the customer, the supply, service and maintenance calls, previous events and more). Every service file can contain an infinite number of service calls. Other details you may save in the service calls: attending technician, type of malfunctions and hand-written comments.
Customers - This module allows advanced management of information regarding the customer. In addition to full details in your local language and in English about the customer, the program deals especially with relevant contacts. You may add an infinite number of contacts for every customer. The program will sort quotations to different contacts, even if working for the same client, and so the communication with the customer will be most effective.
You may define an infinite number of key phrases or remarks (status lines) for each contact. In this way, you will be able to classify contacts by different parameters, according to marketing needs.
In the same manner, you may also define the different suppliers a certain contact is interested in. Imagine how easy it would be to invite all your contacts, with a common interest in one of your suppliers, to an event on the launching of a new product...
Items - You can easily manage lists of tens of thousands of items. The "search engine" can locate every item by any combination of the first letters of its name or catalogue number. You may define "header items" to add headers or any other text in your quotations.
Reports - You may print or preview reports that summarize information regarding quotations, orders, service files, suppliers, customers, items and more.
Reports used for sales promotion, for example reports that produce address stickers for direct-mail advertising, have received special attention.
